What's the deal?

Once upon a time I worked in a bookstore then I met a woman who also had worked in a bookstore. We often enjoyed going on dates.... to bookstores. Over time I accumulated quite the book collection. Many I read, but there are still many more that have been sitting on a shelf or in a box for a decade or more. It's time to get them off the shelf and into my hands.

The motivation for this project? Well, it's in the title of the blog. One of Rowan's favorite subjects to needle me about is this collection of unread books. So, while she's gone in for this school year in France I'm going to see how many books I can read from the two shelves of shame in my living room. I'll be reviewing them and updating my progress as a way to keep myself honest and to provide a way to communicate with my kid who I miss dearly. I'm currently finishing up a library book, but I'm planning to start the RoRC on September 1.
